A profound way to calm the mind, uplift the spirit, and harmonise inner energies. The session is Open to all & Free of charge.
Chanting mantras in the Sanātana Dharma tradition offers a powerful convergence of inner purification, spiritual growth, emotional calm, and enhanced wellness.
Chanting is one of the most accessible and profound practices of Sanātana Dharma. Rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Vedas and Upaniṣads, sacred mantras and stotrams (hymns) are not only prayers but also vibrations of transformation. When chanted with sincerity and awareness, they purify the mind, uplift the spirit, and harmonise the body's subtle energies, offering a pathway to holistic well-being.
Why Sacred Chanting?
Spiritual Growth – Mantra chanting connects the practitioner with the divine, quietens the restless mind, and deepens inner awareness.
Emotional Balance – Repetition of sacred sounds calms anxiety, reduces stress, and nurtures compassion.
Mental Clarity – Scientific studies show improved focus, memory, and cognitive function through regular mantra practice.
Physical Health – Chanting regulates breath, lowers heart rate and blood pressure, and promotes overall vitality.
Community & Harmony – Group chanting (such as Namasankirtana and kirtan) fosters unity, dissolves barriers, and brings people together in shared devotion.
Our Sacred Chanting Initiative :
As part of our commitment to advancing spiritual education and well-being, The Sacred Grove Foundation offers a series of guided chanting sessions, focusing on Sanskrit stotrams, ślokas, and Vedic chanting.
These include:
Learning the correct pronunciation and rhythm of mantras.
Experience the joy of chanting in a supportive group setting, free from inhibition, while deepening your learning.
Experiencing the meditative and healing effects of sound.
The Sacred Grove Foundation recently organised a free 10-day online chanting course on the Sri Dakshinamurthy Stotram, which took place from 19 May to 28 May 2025 and several practise sessions before Sri M's UK workshop on 25 June 2025.
🕖 Course Time: Sessions were held daily for 1 hour between 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM (UK time).
The course was open to all levels of participants and included access to practice and study materials. It provided a structured opportunity for learners to develop confidence in chanting, with an emphasis on regular practice and commitment.
🌟 Special Participation: Those who completed the course were invited to join the group chanting during the Dhuni at the Dakshinamurthy Stotram 1-Day Workshop with Sri M, enhancing both individual learning and collective spiritual experience.
The programme successfully encouraged participants to engage with Sanskrit chanting in an accessible way, contributing to their spiritual education, well-being, and sense of community.
